A FEW MORE THINGS FROM AMISH COUNTRY...

Noah learned that Llama's Spit!!

The #1 reason I couldn't become Amish: LAUNDRY!

Noah thought this was a real wheelbarrow
One of my favorite pics ever!! Looking out our hotel window

Where's Waldo?
They rode this little modfied scooters everywhere.
I'm pretty sure Nana wants one for Christmas

(We met this nice Amish Gentleman in one of the shops!)
Here are a few more pictures from our recent trip to Amish Country. There's tons more where they came from. We are recovering from a long, hot week of Backyard Bible Clubs. They went GREAT and so many people helped. It is so good to see the Body of Christ at work!! I start keeping Baby Connor full time this week. We are adjusting great and Noah just loves him to death. I think Connor is a little tired of Noah giving him kisses though.
If you don't follow the adoption blog the latest news is that I just sent off our dossier to get looked over by our coordinator. She will check it over and tell me what corrections I need to make. I have 2 pieces of paperwork I'm waiting on but they hopefully will be here this week!! People have been so generous with donations in the donation jars at local gas stations. We already have gotten about $350 just from these 6 jars!! God is good! So far we have about $7,000 of the $24,000 needed to adopt Laurel. If you would like to read the private adoption blog just leave me a comment or email me and I'll send you the invitation.
PS: Mike FINALLY updated his blog. Check it out, but warning, he's kinda gotten a little political lately ;)

AMISH COUNTRY

This Picture is for Rach

Day out with THOMAS!

A day on the Farm

(Above)- The play "In the Beginning"
Completely amazing and moving!!

Of course we stopped at Hershey and ate
ourselves sick!

Mmmm... freshly made jelly's and jams

We just came back from a trip to Amish Country, PA and had a wonderful time! The drive was long but Noah did pretty good with it. We went to Hershey, Cherry Crest Farm (which was an all day affair and Noah LOVED it). We went to a play called "In the Beginning." This was an absolutely beautiful and amazing play which told the story of creation and the fall. We were moved to tears and it was amazing to get a glimpse of what it will be like to praise God forever in heaven. Next, we ate, and ate, and ate some more :) We also got to ride Thomas the Tank Engine (yes the real one-at least that's what we told Noah). It POURED and I mean POURED but we still had a great time. We did some shopping, rode another train, played at the park and a whole host of other things including Gettysburg on the way home. A HUGE thanks to Nana & Poppy who took us on this great trip. What wonderful memories we have.

SUMMER IN ALL IT'S GLORY

Summer is definately in full bloom around here. Our days are full of popsicles, playing outside and gardening.... yes, my garden is actually growing!! We've been on more vacations and trips lately but I think we're "nesting" and getting ready for the second child (lORD WILLING!!). We hate being away from church on Sunday but do love the little getaways with family. We'll soon be on our way to Pennsylvania with Nana & Poppy to tour Amish Country. Noah gets to ride Thomas the TankEngine while we are there. We'll hopefully even get to meet our Pastor and his wife for lunch one day (they'll be up there visiting family)!!
Please pray for our church this coming up week as we'll be having Backyard Bible Clubs in 2 Neighborhoods. Pray for good weather, good help (which we always have) and for the children's hearts to be receptive to the Gospel being shared. Through the years we've done this, we are struck with the hopelessness and sad situations that are out there. Some of these children just want a little attention and some have never heard the Gospel. Please pray we will be able to present it clearly and effectively. Well, until we return....Enjoy the pictures!

Tweetsie

Taking a trip up the Chairlift

Sorry it has taken so long to update. It has been insane around here and the next weeks proves to be even busier! Last weekend we took a family vacation to Tweetsie RR. I cannot say enough good things about this place. From our experience I can honestly say it was the cleanest, best run, most friendly, kid friendly theme park we've ever been too! Noah loved it..... except for the cowboy and indian train ride that was pretty scary. It was so scary that I remember it when I was about 5 and am still in therapy for that!!! Why I took Noah on it I don't know but I guess it's just something every kid should experience. Now we are paying for therapy for him. :0
Anyway we love the Mts. and can't wait to go back!! Noah got to experience a lot of "firsts" like riding a ferris wheel (never again) and riding the plane ride and boat ride all by himself. We also road up a huge chairlift to get to the other side of the park. No seatbelts!!!!!!!! But after about the 3rd time we got used to it. I have some cute video and will update with that soon!
